Anthony O’Grady is the manager of the Club’s Restaurant. He trained in the Ballymaloe Cookery School, also working in the acclaimed restaurant. He has also worked in L’Ecrivain under the watchful eye of Derry Clarke, one of Ireland’s leading chefs.
Anthony has worked in France, Switzerland, Spain and Australia, as well as cooking on cruise ships in the Mediterranean.
The Club’s beautifully appointed Dining Room has been refurbished to maximise the splendour of its location in the heart of Georgian Dublin. The room is one of the most beautiful in the house with original Georgian plaster work on the ceiling. The dining room holds a fine collection of Beatrice Elvery cartoons depicting the early history of the Club. Over the past 100 years the dining room has hosted many special occasions including literary lunches for Ireland’s premiere writers.Anthony can also provide catering facilities for members wishing to arrange parties and special dinners in the Club’s Function Room.
